  The Scientific and Production Enterprise “Sparing-Vist Center” is a well-known developer and manufacturer of radiation measurement devices and systems of “Ecotest” trademark in Ukraine and abroad. Recently, a high quality and reliability of its products have been once again honored at the All-Ukrainian level. A new development of “Ecotest” TM - the IT-09T data panel together with the BDBG-09 gamma detecting unit was recognized to be the winner in the competition for the best equipment in the field of civil defense of population and territories in man-caused and natural emergencies. This device that can be used in any branch of industry and economy to inform about radiation background condition of the environment won the first place in the nomination “Personal protection instruments”.

  At the ceremony of awarding and presentation of the honorary diploma and the statuette to the representatives of the enterprise the Deputy Minister of Ukraine for Emergency Management and Population Protection from the Consequences of Chornobyl Catastrophe, Valery Tretyakov stated that Ukraine can be proud of its progress in the area of radiation monitoring instrument-making, in particular of the developments and introductions into production of the “Ecotest” TM products. The country will feel secure with these devices.

  The Private Enterprise “SPPE “Sparing-Vist Center” became a finalist at a regional stage of the Ukrainian Product Quality Competition (goods, works, services) - "100 best goods of Ukraine" in the “Producer goods” nomination.

  The MKS-U multipurpose dosimeter-radiometer was presented at the competition. The device was custom-developed by the enterprise for the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Ukraine. It proved to be reliable and really multipurpose.

  The MKS-U dosimeter made a good showing in harsh environment during the peace-making mission of the 19th independent battalion of NBC Defense in the Persian Gulf.

  After a successful trail in the desert according to the order of the Ukrainian Minister of Defense the MKS-U began to be used as the armament for the Ukrainian Army.

  The dosimeter is applied in the radiation monitoring system of Ukraine, including: radiochemical reconnaissance, civil defense, dosimetry monitoring services of nuclear power industry, medicine, nuclear physics etc.

  On February 26-28 2008, in Izmail the training on the “Ecological safety of the state border” discipline was held in the framework of the international technical support project with the Swiss Inspectorate on nuclear safety on the basis of the training and retraining school of coast guard specialists by the Izmail Marine Detachment.

  Particular attention should be paid to the fact, that during the training the trainees not only acquired the theoretical basis of design and functioning of a new development of the enterprise – the DKS-02PN “CADMIUM” search alarm dosimeter, but also successfully learned how to work with the device when applied.

  Moreover, these are the coast guard specialists who will be the first to estimate the value and wide functional capabilities of the equipment.

  Yury Storonsky, the general constructor, director of the PE “SPPE “Sparing-Vist Center”, and Volodymyr Golyev, the leading software engineer of the enterprise, reported on the instrument and the software.

  The demonstration training on "Actions of managing personnel of Civil Defence headquarters, employees and students under the threat of occurrence and during liquidation of emergency situations consequences" was held on February 21, 2008 in the Lviv State Financial Academy.

  It is worth mentioning, that the dosimeters from "ECOTEST" trade mark have been used during the training.
The training issue sounding "Checking the premises and classrooms on a sample basis with respect to pollution with radioactive substances" has been worked out in the course of demonstration measures.
